Buck McCoy
Guitar
Buck McCoy began his music career as most young men do, with the hope of meeting chicks and looking cool. He began lessons in 1986 at the age of 9. Eventually transitioning to learning from one of the best of Seattle Blues, Cory Wilds, beginning a lifelong love of blues guitar.
Buck McCoy has been a staple of the Seattle Music Scene since the mid-1990's with his first band "The Druids" arguably the BEST HIGH SCHOOL BAND EVER from Burien, WA. Buck cut his chops in music playing with "1300 South" at some of Seattle's most historic venues including The Central, The Off Ramp, Ballard Firehouse, J&M Cafe & The Phoenix along with music events like Funky Monkey Festival. "1300 South" missed the wave of major label signing for Seattle Grunge Bands and eventually dissolved into years of marriages, divorces (except John, what a loser), kids, and real jobs.
Buck McCoy was thrust back into music in 2017 and hasn't looked back since. He actively plays with several bands including jam bands, cover bands and original music actively gigging throughout the year. Always looking for another great experience for studio recording, live gigs, and original music creation.
Influences are BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Coy Wilds, and Don Mock
